White Wine Yarra Yering Dry White No 1 2018. This white wine is another gem from the legendary Yarra Yering valley. It is an elegant blend of Semillon and Chardonnay grapes and largely has its roots in the iconic Bordeaux white wines. The Yarra Yering Dry White No. 1 is a quite youthful white masterpiece with enormous potential. It just keeps getting better with age and maybe cellared for even 10 years when kept in the ideal conditions. Undoubtedly, having this full-bodied white wine in your collection is an investment every wine enthusiast would cherish. A world-class piece of art worth the hefty price tag. Exploding with crispy natural flavors of apple blended with lemon and citrus fruits coupled with savory notes of ginger. This white wine is spicy and lively. The palate length is driven by a smooth touch of tasty fruits such as green apple and unique youthfulness obtained from Semillon grapes. There is also some vibrant acidity coupled with depth from maturation in oak barrels providing a long finish. Chardonnay and Semillon grapes are hand-harvested. While the Semillon is crushed prior to pressing to maximize the flavor from the skins, the entire bunch of Chardonnay is pressed before being transferred to ancient oak barrels for fermentation providing depth and structure. Exquisite when paired with a variety of foods including Cheddar and Gruyere cheese.

White Wine Zuccardi Serie Q Chardonnay 2018. Alberto Zuccardi never intended to found a winery when he planted his first vineyard in Mendoza in 1963. The engineer planned to use the site to show off a new irrigation system which was popular at the time, but his experiment quickly turned into a brand-new passion. Five years later he built a winery on the site which today is still run by his son and grandson. The Zuccardi family are best known for their exceptional Malbec wines grown in Mendoza’s high altitude Uco Valley, but they also work with many other varieties which thrive in these conditions like this Chardonnay. The grapes used for this wine come from two vineyards in the Uco Valley, Gualtallary which sits at 1400 metres above sea level, and El Peral at 1200 metres above sea level. Thanks to the bright, sunny days and cooler nights, the grapes enjoy a very long ripening season and retain plenty of delicate aromatics as well as ripe fruit flavours. In the winery the fruit is fermented in concrete tanks and used oak barrels using wild yeasts. The young wine is then left to mature on the lees to add extra complexity and a rich, creamy texture. Luscious mango, peach, lychee and zesty citrus dominate on the nose, while on the palate there’s a medium body and ripe tropical fruit notes that linger on the tongue.

White Wine Duckhorn Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019. Serve well chilled. Duckhorn have been making one of Napa Valley’s finest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc since 1982 and this breathtaking bottle really demonstrates what that can be achieved with years of experience and a talented winemaking team. Duckhorn carefully selects all of the grapes that go into this wine from their own estates and the prime vineyards of their grapegrowing partners in Napa Valley. These premium grapes are then fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels to both showcase the pure varietal character of the Sauvignon Blanc and to add extra body and complexity. Duckhorn also blends a small quantity of Semillon with the Sauvignon Blanc to contribute depth of flavour and a silky smooth texture on the palate. The result is a stunning white wine which explodes with intense papaya, melon and citrus aromas which transform into ripe peach, lime and passionfruit flavours with the first sip. There’s a bright, refreshing acidity on the palate which is nicely balanced by the medium body, hints of flinty minerality and very long finish. Thanks to the poise and elegance of this wine, the Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc is a fabulous choice to serve as an aperitif before a special dinner or as an accompaniment to pan-fried fish, light summer salads or a generous cheese platter.
