White Wine Jean-Luc Colombo Cotes Du Rhone La Redonne 2019. This punchy white Côte du Rhône takes its name from a gorgeous Mediterranean cove close to producer Jean-Luc Colombo’s home city of Marseilles. Although the Rhône Valley is better known for its well-structured, long-lived reds, La Redonne is a textbook example of the region’s lesser-known whites which made up just 2% of the appellation’s wine production. Composed of 70% Viognier and 30% Roussanne, La Redonne begins life in prime vineyards planted on granitic terraces and alluvial plains. Intensely aromatic and typically full-bodied, Viognier dominates the fragrant nose with the Roussanne adding a balancing touch of freshness. The wine is vinified in stainless steel vats to emphasise the pure varietal character and then around 20% of the wine is matured in oak barrels on the lees to add complexity and a smooth roundness. Exotic aromas of mangos and dates mingle with hazelnuts, white flowers and honey on the nose, while the palate features a fruity attack with apricot, peach and citrus flavours coming to the fore. Thanks to the full body, velvety texture and harmonizing freshness, La Redonne is an ideal option to serve as an aperitif or to pair with pasta carbonara, roasted chicken or baked cod served in a creamy sauce.

White Wine Jermann Vintage Tunina 2019. The Jermann winery has a very long history that began in 1881, when its founder Anton arrived in Friuli Venezia Giulia, continuing the wine business previously undertaken in Austria and Slovenia. The family property now extends over 150 hectares, of which 130 are used as vineyards. These are distributed in three main areas: on the precious hill of Ruttars, where the plants benefit from a light and fresh soil and a microclimate that is not too hot, in the Isonzo area, with stony, sunny and ventilated soils, and in the area of Villanova di Farra, a very suggestive area of the DOC Collio. The Vintage Tunina is an iconic wine, widely recognized in Italy and abroad as one that made the history of Italian wine production. Created from the blend of the most typical white grapes of Friuli: Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Picolit and Sauvignon, combining all their elegant and unique qualities. In the glass, it has a very bright golden color. The nose opens on a wide and varied olfactory spectrum made up of tropical fruit, orange blossom and hawthorn, saffron, cedar, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is soft and agile, fresh and measuredly savory with very long persistence and intense fruity notes. A unique, extraordinary white wine that can be paired with a great variety of fish dishes, especially baked and with sauces, but it can also go with white meats.

White Wine Koncho Kisi Qvevri 2019. Koncho and Co. LTD is the subsidiary of the JSC Corporation Kindzmarauli and is run by the Konchoshvili family. The company name implies the longstanding integration between church, family, and viticulture, as Koncho translates as “cross In fact, during the 19th century, Bishop Petre Konchoshvili, a prominent religious and political figure, took over the winery and maintained the family business of winemaking. Koncho & Co Kisi Qvevri is made from Kisi grapes, a native Georgian vine suitable for the production of white or amber wines, both sweet and dry. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand in the vineyards in the province of Kakheti, where they benefit from the protection of the Caucasus mountains, and a soil rich in black schist. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in the traditional terracotta pots locally called Qvevri. The result is a powerful white wine with a fine tannic structure and a beautiful amber color. The nose reveals a bouquet of apples and pears with some ripe apricots, a hint of fresh orange zest, and then mint, aromas of hazelnuts, quince, and dried fruits. On the palate, it is dry and round with some peach aftertaste. A must-try with Indian cuisine and spicy vegetarian recipes.
