White Wine Gurashvili’s Kisi Qvevri 2018. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour before serving. Gurashvili’s Family Vineyards is a Georgian brand that traditionally produces a limited range of wines from the local Mtsvane, Kisi, and Saperavi grapes. The winery is located in Tibaani in the famous Kakheti wine region and uses only manual work. The master winemakers invest not only all their knowledge and skills, but also their soul in the production of first-class wines. The limited production and the application of ancient Georgian traditional winemaking methods ensure the unique character of Gurashvili wines, which are protected by geographical names. This wine is produced with the traditional Qvevri method. A Qvevri is a typically Georgian creation, a large underground clay vessel, in which wines are fermented and aged on both the skins and the stems. This gives Qvevri wines a dimension of flavor and aroma not found in other wines. Gurashvili’s Kisi Qvevri is a typical Georgian orange wine with beautiful aromas of dried fruit, figs, woody notes and a slight oxidation. In the mouth the dried fruit returns, followed by fine acidity, light tannins, full body, and long aftertaste. It should be decanted and left in the carafe for half an hour as it can open considerably with the air. It goes very well with sausages, lamb filet, and Middle Eastern vegetarian recipes.

Michelle is located in the Columbia Valley, in the US state of Washington, and occupies a total area of approx. 35 hectares. The vines benefit from a mild climate with light rainfall and strong sunshine. These meteorological conditions are responsible for the optimal development of the grapes’ aromatic profile. The winery produces both red and white wines from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Riesling. The Riesling grapes selected for the production of this wine come from different vineyards located in the Columbia Valley. The harvest takes place at night to preserve the fresh and lively personality typical of Riesling while maintaining its natural acidity. The must is cold fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and produce an elegant and dry Riesling with a nice fruit character. The wine has a bright aspect and a beautiful golden color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of green apple, citrus peel, honeysuckle, petrol, ginger and iodized hints. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with lively and well integrated acidity, a light body and a soft finish. It is the perfect partner for crab, salmon, and scallops, but also goes very well with sweet cheeses, spicy Asian dishes, and Indian curry.
